Lisa is an insatiable researcher and a mom interested in clean energy, sustainable environmentalism, and scientific discoveries.

Redfern is the author of Phineas Gage: After the Accident Years, Haylee and the Traveler’s Stone series, and she is the illustrator and publisher of Toby Bear and the Healing Light.

Her current writing focus is a historical novel set on Donner Summit about Chinese railroad worker brothers.

Redfern recently completed a four-year watershed study project that includes a 30-minute fly-over film – Aerial Views & History of the Deer Creek Watershed; A Journey from Headwaters to Confluence.

Lisa Redfern has worked as a professional photographer, small business owner, graphic & web designer/building coach, public educator, grant writer, book publicist, and recycling education coordinator.

Lisa administers websites for Sierra Writers and the Sierra Writers Conference. She’s also an editor for the Sierra Writers Conference Newsletter. Redfern welcomes creative contract work queries.

Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from California State University, Sacramento.
