Concern #1. I was nervous about my photo session because I didn't know what I was supposed to do.

Answer: The good news is that you don't have to! It is our job to make you look the best you've ever looked in your life. By studying the images throughout this website, you'll be able to judge our level of people skills.

Pretty much everyone who comes in for portraits feels nervous before we get started.

There is a warm-up period. When we take the first couple of shots, we both get used to how we interact with each other. We often hear people say how comfortable they feel when they work with us. We think this is because we truly love what we do. We love talking to people and finding out what makes each person unique...and making that translate into powerful images on the camera.

Concern #2. What if I don't want to do a certain pose?

Answer: We NEVER have you do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable. If you don't want a certain pose, or background - we don't do it! Remember...the name of the game is to have you feel relaxed and comfortable. If you don't feel relaxed and comfortable, we can't make great portraits.

Everyone is different. Part of the fun of what we do is to figure out what works...and what doesn't for each person we photograph.

Concern #3. Can I bring my pet, car, instrument, poetry, favorite shoes, friends, siblings, sports equipment ....etc....?

Answer: Mostly, the answer is "Yes." If what you want to bring will fit in your car, just bring it. (If it's something that won't fit in a car, please call us to make sure we can accommodate whatever it is you plan to bring.)

Many times during a photo session, someone will comment that they wished they would have brought "XYZ." This is a creative process between all of us....if you come to our studio and you haven't brought something with you for your session that you'd like to include....we can't use it. So bring whatever you think you might want.

Near the end of your portrait session, we usually ask if you have any thoughts or ideas about what else you'd like to do. Some of our best work comes from those times when someone has a great idea...
